How it works · the long version

How does a Sorrato digital intern work?

You hire a digital intern for one clearly bounded role. We write a playbook with you: what it handles, what it never touches, and where it must stop. The intern then works inside the tools your team already uses, follows that playbook, and pauses whenever a person should decide, so nothing goes out unreviewed.

Every working morning it emails the manager what it did, what it paused, and what needs attention. You start with a €349 Proof of Value, delivered in 5 working days, before anything touches your live systems.

The short version

Iris · your digital intern

Your morning report, Tuesday

07:30

Good morning. Here is what happened yesterday.

  • 46emails read and sorted
  • 31replies prepared for you
  • 3paused, waiting for a person

Needs your attention: a tenant asks about a rent change. That is not in my playbook, so I left it for you.

Example with made-up numbers · the real report arrives in your own inbox

Sound familiar?

A day quietly fills up with work that's the same shape every time.

Most teams don't need another tool. They need fewer hands on the keyboard for the boring parts. That's the part a digital intern takes.

  • Reading and sorting a shared inbox
  • Looking up customers and updating the CRM
  • Copying data between two systems that won't talk to each other
  • Pulling data out of PDFs and putting it where it belongs
  • Chasing follow-ups that go cold
  • Taking in requests and routing them to the right person

What it does

It's not a chatbot and not a tool. It's a role.

You give it one job, clear rules and your tone of voice, and it works inside the systems you already have.

  1. It reads the request and judges it.
  2. It checks your CRM. If something's missing, it goes and finds it.
  3. It does the groundwork. It writes the note, updates the record and drafts the reply.
  4. It lays a prepared file in front of your team, with a plain recommendation.
  5. Your team checks, approves and sends. Nothing goes out without a human clicking send.
Human in the loop

Why "digital intern", and not "digital colleague"?

Because everyone already knows what an intern is: someone new who needs a short onboarding, isn't given decisions to make on day one, is a little unfamiliar to the team at first, and takes a little time to become productive. That's exactly the right expectation here.

"Digital colleague" or "digitale medewerker" sound like a peer who is already up to speed. We're the opposite: a junior, supervised hire with a bounded role, growing into the work under human oversight.

Some people search for a digital colleague, digital employee, digital worker, virtual employee, AI assistant or managed AI capacity; in Dutch, a digitale medewerker or digitale stagiair. Same category. "Intern" is the name that carries the right expectations.

Where they already run

Not ChatGPT, not another AI tool, not an IT project.

A digital intern sits inside your existing tools, follows a written playbook, and stops where a person should decide. Four are working today, one of them for us; one is built and shown on demo data.

  • Daily email report

Every intern checks in each working morning: what ran the day before, what stopped for a person, what stood out. Same rhythm as a good human intern reporting to their manager.

  • One workflow, then wider

Each case starts as one narrow role. The platform holds the tool connections and credentials, keeps them working when a vendor changes its API, and records what the intern did for audit.

  • Confidentiality

Operational details and client data remain confidential. Named references and verification are available where contractually permitted.

No training. Nothing to install. Nothing to migrate. An intern.

Why this is not an IT project

You are not buying software. You are adding an intern.

Software projects ask you to change how you work, retrain your people, and wait months for a "go live" that keeps slipping. This is the opposite.

Like any good new hire, it learns your way of working instead of forcing you into a new system. The Proof of Value proves the first step for €349. After you approve, your intern is working on your own data within a month, safely in a test setup, never on live data until you decide it is ready.

How Sorrato compares

Faster to a first result. No lock-in.

Compared to building custom software, adding more SaaS, or hiring extra staff, a digital intern is faster to a first result, needs no team training, runs in the tools you already use, and can be started or stopped monthly, one process at a time.

We maintain it. You don't.

A workflow tool you wire up yourself is yours to keep running: when a vendor changes an API, it stops, and someone on your team has to find out why. A chatbot answers questions in its own window; it does not pick up a process in your systems, follow a written playbook, or log what it did. A digital intern is hired, not licensed. It has a name, a role, a manager on our side, and it reports to you every morning. You would not sign a maintenance contract for a temp, and you don't need one here either.

Who we help

The work is repetitive and rule-based, and someone can decide to try one process.

This is for you if

  • You run a B2B company of roughly 15–100 people (from ~2 up to ~200).
  • You work in real estate/VvE management, wholesale & distribution, logistics, construction, manufacturing, or B2B services.
  • You're the owner, director, or ops manager with short decision lines.
  • You have a repetitive process eating expensive hours.
  • You work in Dutch or English.

This is not for you if

  • You're in the public sector or healthcare/medical.
  • There's no single repetitive process ready, or no one who can decide.
  • You want "AI that runs the company." We do one role, one workflow, with a human in charge.
Quick self-check · if most of these are a yes, we're likely a fit

Tick what's true for you.

The first step

Start with a €349 Proof of Value.

One process, built in five working days on sample data. We introduce you to the intern, you watch it do your work, and we walk through it together against the criteria agreed up front. Then you decide, within 7 days. Criteria met: the €349 comes off your first month. Not met: you get it back.

Proof of Value · one time

€349

A working intern for your process, in five working days. Fixed scope, fixed date.

  • 100% credited to your first month
  • Money back if it misses the agreed criteria
  • Only due once scope and criteria are agreed
  • No access to your live systems

After that

Cheaper than a vacancy. Easier to stop.

The junior figure includes employer taxes, holiday pay, leave risk and a desk. The intern covers a complete role playbook with several daily workflows. Cancel monthly, no lock-in.

What the monthly fee covers

  • Onboarding on your process and your tone of voice
  • The connections to the tools you already use
  • Hosting on our managed platform in Europe, under a data processing agreement
  • Daily supervision and monitoring of the work
  • Monthly improvements as the intern learns your exceptions
  • A person checks it before anything leaves the building
  • No recruitment, no sick days, no employer costs. One fixed amount a month, agreed up front.

What we need from you

A short intake, not a project kick-off.

  • One point of contact

On your side, who knows the process.

  • About 2–3 hours that week

One working session, one review, quick answers in between.

  • Sample data

Anonymized if you prefer, reflecting the real work.

  • Which tools you use

Most cloud tools with an API or web login work out of the box. We don't need access that week: we connect them only once you go ahead.

  • Your rules of the road

How you handle exceptions, your tone of voice, and what "good" looks like. If it lives in someone's head, we help you write it down.

Is it safe, GDPR-compliant and under human control?

A human always keeps the final say.

Every digital intern runs on Sorrato's managed platform, hosted in Europe under GDPR with formal data-processing agreements. The platform is where tool connections, credentials, security patches and the audit trail are managed for you. The intern gets the same kind of account and access limits you would give a new colleague, and every action it takes is logged.

Most automation gets switched off because nobody can tell what it did. Yours reports back on its own: a daily report every working morning, a review queue where anything outside the normal pattern waits for a person, and exceptions that land in an inbox with the reason attached, not in a log file.

  • Hosted in Europe. Our managed platform runs in Europe.

  • GDPR. With a data-processing agreement.

  • 01

One managed platform for every intern. We hold and rotate the credentials, keep connections working when a vendor changes their API, apply security patches, and record what the intern did. It's part of the monthly fee.

  • 02

It works in your tools. No new software, no migration, no training. Your team keeps working the way they always have.

  • 03

Human-in-the-loop by design. You see what the intern is doing and what it delivers. When it's unsure, it stops and asks.

  • 04

Yours, always. Never used to train AI models. You keep ownership of your data at all times.

  • 05

Proven before it goes live. First runs on your own data in a test setup. Only moves to live data when you are ready. No big-bang go-live.

Pick one process. See it work. Then decide.

You probably already know which one. We build it in five working days, on sample data, and you decide what happens next.
